Gentlemen...Start your Engines!

Grandma Katy and Grandpa Al gave us a new car for Christmas.  We  now have a Mustang Boss 302 that we love driving around.  I mostly drive the jeep and my brother dries the mustang.  We know how to drift and we drive very fast.  We often race each other and we pretend that we are cops and Daddy is the bad buy.  We chase him down and tackle him as he rides his skateboard.  We have so much fun!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  I welcome 2015 with open arms and I am excited to see what the year will bring.  If it is anything like 2014, I'm in for a wild ride.

In 2014, I turned 2 years old.  I started talking....a lot.  I know how to ride my balance bike and my scooter...very fast.  I have mastered driving my jeep.  I love playing outside with my brother and my neighbor friend.  We went on many weekend trips including San Francisco and Palm Springs.  We had many adventures to train town in Griffith Park, saw the Shuttle Endeavor, Children's Museum, San Diego Zoo, Irvine Zoo, and Santa Ana Zoo.  I spent many, many hours swimming in the pool.  I got to play in real snow...practically in my own back yard.  It has been a wonderful year and I am so grateful for everything I have experienced this year.

Snow Day

What a great way to end 2014....with a snow day.  We woke up to snow in our mountains and we could tell it was very low.  We all got in the car and drove to see how low it was.  Our canyon had a lot of snow so we got out to take pictures.  We went over to Robinson Ranch and it was filled with snow.  All of the streets, houses, and cars were covered with snow.  We got out and was able to throw some snow balls.  It was freezing cold and windy, so Mommy did not let us play for too long.  I have never felt something so cold, so my hands were very chilly that they hurt me.

Merry Christmas

This has been a wonderful holiday season and it seems to have flown by.  We decorated our tree the day before Thanksgiving, so we got to enjoy its beauty for over one month.  Buddy the Elf came back to our house this year to keep on eye on us and report back to Santa each night how well we behaved.  He left us various treats and coins every morning when he returned and it helped us to count down the days until Christmas.  Santa actually called us on the phone to wish us a Merry Christmas and check in on us.  We continued our annual tradition of cruising our neighborhood looking for holiday lights.  We found some great houses and we even saw the house where Santa camps out.  He waved to us and told us Merry Christmas many times.  We saw him work on his naughty/nice list, watched him sort his toys, and we even saw him eat cookies and drink milk.  We ventured over to Brea to see their very festive neighborhood.

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandpa John and Suzanne's where Palmer and I got a hot wheels track.  Then we went to Grandma Lu's where I got new vans shoes, a music cd, socks, and a monster truck.  Our last stop was at Mom and Pop's where I got to play with my cousins and we wore our Christmas pjs from Mom and Pop.

On Christmas morning, we woke up with excitement ready to see what treasures were under the tree.  Santa sent us on a scavenger hunt and our surprises were hidden all around the house.  We had to find them with various clues.  It was so much fun.  I got more monster trucks, an ereader with books, a star nightlight, and some playing cards.  We spent the rest of the day at Grandma Katy's and Grandpa Al's feasting and opening lots of presents with all of Daddy's side of the family.  I got lots of toys and books.  I am one spoiled (blessed) little guy.

I had a wonderful holiday season and I can't wait for next year.

Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn

The day after Thanksgiving, we met Grandpa John, Suzanne, Joce, Amanda, and Emily at the Mission Inn.  Every year they light over 4 million lights, covering and decorating the Mission Inn.  It was so beautiful and festive.  We drank yummy hot chocolate and we got to meet Santa.  I told him that I wanted presents for Christmas.  I wasn't specific, just presents.  It was a very magical night.

NHRA Winternationals

To further celebrate my brother's birthday weekend, Mommy got us tickets to the NHRA Winternationals.  It was so much fun.  We had special passes into the DHL professional pit and we got to meet the team and the driver.  The races were so powerful, I could feel the pounding of speed against my chest and I had to wear ear plugs to muffle the sound.  It was a great day and I know my brother had a good birthday weekend.
