Weekend Adventure - Juan Cabrillo National Monument

Today we visited Juan Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego.  Grandma and Grandpa joined us and we had so much fun.  It was a beautiful, clear, sunny day which provided spectacular views over the bay.  We toured a light house and got to go to the top of the light house.  It was amazing to see how people could live inside such a narrow yet tall space.  I guess the grand views make up for the tight quarters.  We wanted to visit the tide pools, but the tide was way too high and it was more like waves crashing against the rocks.  After exploring the museum and monument, we had yummy lunch at El Indio.  It was a great way to end our weekend.

Big Boy Bike

I'm so excited....I can ride a big boy bike.  I can ride my two wheel bike without any training wheels.  I started off using my brother's balance bike, which became my bike when he learned how to ride a big boy bike several months ago and it taught me how to balance.  I knew I was ready to ride a big boy bike, so I begged Mommy to let me ride my brother's big boy bike.  She let me get on while she held me, but what she did not realize was that I was going to take off and do it all by myself.  I did it...I was riding it instantly without training wheels.  Mommy was afraid that I would fall off such a big bike, so she bought me a (smaller) big boy bike using the money that Grandma Katy and Grandpa Al had given me for my birthday.  At first, I only wanted to ride my brother's bike, but now I ride my bike all the time.  Last night we went to the park and Palmer and I rode the paths all around the baseball fields.  People kept making comments that they could not believe such a little guy could ride a big boy bike without training wheels.  I love riding my bike....I'm not afraid at all.

Happy Easter 2015

Happy Easter everyone!  We had a very busy weekend.  Auntie Janelle's baby shower was at Grandma Lu's on Saturday, so while Mommy went there, we got to hang out with Joce, Uncle Robert, Daddy, Palmer and Grandpa John at his house.  Later that night, we went to Grandma Lu's and spent the night at her house since we were celebrating Easter the next morning with breakfast.  We woke up early and got to see what the Easter Bunny brought us. Mommy told the Easter Bunny that we would be at Grandma's house and not at our house that day.  My basket was filled with juice boxes, goldfish crackers, $1, a Monster Truck Hot Wheel, and 'Cars' Tub Skids.  We got dressed and went to visit Mom & Pop and we had some pan dulce with them.  We had fun because Joce, Auntie Janelle, Grandpa John, and Suzanne joined us as well.  Grandpa John and Suzanne had a basket for me as well from the Easter Bunny.  It was filled with clothes, a Hot Wheel, and lots of yummy treats.  We went back to Grandma Lu's for some delicious breakfast.  She also gave us a big Easter egg that had a watch in it.  We had an Easter egg hunt with Joce and Palmer.  It was so much fun and our baskets were filled with treats, stickers, and tattoos.  We had a great day so we were sad to leave Grandma Lu's.  I can't wait to go back and hang with my family.
