Happy Easter

Today was another fun filled Easter with my family.  It started off a great day with the Easter bunny bringing us presents, then brunch at Grandma Lu's.  We had our annual egg hunt and I filled my basket with treats.  I had a great day playing with my cousins and spending time with my family.

 

Surf's Up

Our next spring break adventure was surfing in Newport Beach.  We had to break in our new wet suits from Christmas.  Surf's Up!

South Coast Botanical Gardens

It is spring break this week and we've gone on a few adventures.  Today we went to the South Coast Botanical Gardens.  It was a beautiful place filled with plants, succulents, flowers, wild grasses, towering trees, and overall nature.  We finished off our visit at Islands for some yummy lunch.

 

 

 

Cub Hike

We've been doing some hiking as a family and today we even done a hike with my fellow cub scouts.  We hiked an easier trail near our school as part of the O'Neil trail.  Our initial goal was to make it to the water tower, but we conquered that and went all the way to the Monastery.  The wonderful monks even fed us cookies.  It was a beautiful warm day and luckily we did not run into any scary wildlife.

Family Hike

We've been enjoying some family hikes with the wonderful spring weather.  We found this gem of a trail near our house.  It is very close to our school and it is on the easier side of difficulty.  When we get to the top, we overlook an amazing view of our city.  You can see the reservoir to the ocean on clear days.  If you turn around 180 degrees, you get a gorgeous mountain and canyon view.  Beautiful skies, gorgeous scenery, and great company make for an amazing hike.

Happy 7th Birthday Parker

Happy Birthday to me!  Today I turned 7.  We celebrated with family and friends.  Parties are always fun, but they are especially fun when the celebration and presents are all for you.  

Snow Day

We are having a very wet and cold winter so today we spent the day at Wrightwood.  There was a lot of snow, so we were able to throw some snowballs and make snow angels.  It was a nice family outing despite the cold weather.
