Spring Break 2018

Spring break 2018 was a bit more cold and gloomy than I'd like, but I still had a nice break.  We started off with a cub scout hike on Saturday and Easter on Sunday.  For Easter, the Easter Bunny filled our basket with sweet eggs and certificates to play extra kindle time and go to Yogurtland.  Mommy and Daddy hid 75 eggs inside our house and Palmer and I got to search for them.  We were up, down, and all around our house searching.  We even found golden eggs with money.  We spent the day at Grandma Lu's eating breakfast and spending time with family.  We celebrated Joce's 7th birthday at Farrell's with our entire family on Monday night.  On Wednesday, Joce came over and we went bowling and at at Round Table.  I bought myself roller blades on Thursday and attempted to learn how to skate.  Our neighbor's son gave me some tips since he is a hockey player.  Saturday was spa time which brightened our day.  We boogied down on Friday at a party hosted by Palmer's friend Aawin.  To end the break, we spent Sunday morning jumping at Big Air followed by picnic in our backyard.  The week went by quickly, but we had a great time!

MHES Jog-a-Thon 2018

This year's jog-a-thon was challenging yet fun.  Our parents, grandparents and Auntie Janelle donated money to our school and in turn, we had to run laps to thank them for their donation.  We ran many laps around the field while parents, teachers, and staff cheered us on.  There was even a little dancing involved.  

Happy 6th Birthday to Me

I celebrated my 6th birthday surrounded with family and friends.  It was especially great because I was also Superhero of the Week at school.  My birthday landed on a Friday and on the Friday of Superhero week, your family gets to come in and share with the class.  Mommy and Daddy brought Cloudy and Penny to share with the class.  It was so exciting for everyone in our class to see guinea pigs.  After school, we went to have a special lunch.  My birthday party was on Saturday and my friends Sami and Dexter came too.  We enjoyed running around and playing together.  My cousins Joce and Grayson came too, so it was a fun party.  I've had a great year and I'm sure this next year will be wonderful too.

100 Days of School

Today we celebrated 100 days of school.  Over half way down for the year and it really is going by quickly.  I am enjoying Kindergarten and I really like Mrs Moore.  I've made many friends too, but my bestie is Sami.

Winter Beach Day

While the rest of the country is covered with snow and freezing weather, we have been having beautiful warmer weather and clear skies.  Mommy continues to remind us how lucky we are to live in Southern California.  To celebrate this blessing, we made it a beach day.  We went down to Little Corona to check out the tide pools.  We saw several different species of marine life.  Even though the water was extremely chilly, it was still too tempting not to go in.  It was a fun family day and I hope to many more winter beach days. 

Pinewood Derby Race 2018

I'm a Lion in the Cub Scouts and today was our Pinewood Derby Race.  We had to design build a car out of a block of wood, weigh it and send it to impound, then race it.  Daddy and Grandpa John helped me shape the car and I got to paint it myself.  On race day, there were several heats.  My first heat, I took 2nd.  The second heat, I took 1st.  The third heat, I took 2nd again.  My final heat, I placed 1st.  Overall, I place 2nd with an average speed of 161.23 mph.  The name of my car was Pinecraft Creeper as I fashioned it after a Minecraft Creeper.  It was so much fun and I can't wait to improve my skills next year.
