My 1st Vacation - Palm Springs

We went on my first vacation this past weekend to Palm Springs. As our Christmas present, Grandpa John and Suzanne rented a house for us and our whole family went for the a weekend getaway.  Auntie Janelle and Uncle Robert joined us with Joce.  It was so much fun.  The weather was hot, but not scorching.  We would start our mornings going for a walk and a bike ride.Our days were spent in the pool and spa.  

Grandma Lu was also in Palm Springs the same weekend, so we spent our last evening with her at her condo.  Palmer and Daddy got to swim and Grandma made dinner.  

It was a great weekend and I hope we can go back every year.    

 

Splish, Splash

The weather is getting warmer and we are spending more time out in our backyard.  For Easter, Grandma Lu gave us this water lizard and my brother and I spent time splashing about today.  It was so much fun and this will be a favorite activity this summer.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  Last Easter I was only a month old, so this year I was old enough to participate in the activities.  The Easter Bunny brought me a big ball and a toy car.  It was fun to play with my new toys.  Grandpa John gave me a basket filled with new PJs, a towel, and lots of goodies.  Grandma Lucille gave me a basket filled with goodies, stickers, and money.  We spent the afternoon at Grandma Lu's.  She even had a jumper for us and we did an egg hunt.  It was Joce's birthday, so we celebrated with cake and rice krispy treats.  They were delicious, just like the feast that Grandma Lu an Auntie Lelia cooked for us.  We all had a very blessed day.

Orange Balloon

Tonight we went to ride the carousel and orange balloon.  We've been on both during the day, but this was our first time at night.  It was so beautiful to see all the lights. We took Yolanda with us since it was her first time riding both.  It was a nice, clear night with good visibility.  It was such a treat!

Happy 1st Birthday Parker

Happy Birthday to me!  I'm 1 year old today.  Mommy and Daddy threw me a train party and we had a real train come to my house and gives us rides.  I had so much fun.  It was so nice to spend the day with all my family and friends that mean so much to me.  So much has happened over the last year....I've learned and have grown so much.  Mommy is very sad that time flew by, but she is proud of all that I have accomplished is such a short time.  I am walking, I know how to play with all my toys, I love playing outside and riding in my buggy.  I have 8 teeth - 4 on top and 4 on bottom - all are my front teeth.  I know how to wave hello and goodbye.  I know how to give kisses.  I know how to say 'more' in sign language.  I understand both English and Spanish.  I've been on so many wonderful adventures over the last year that I can't wait for what is in store this next year of my life.  Oh boy...on to many more wonderful adventures!

I have been standing on my own and exploring with assistance, but today I took my first steps.  Watch out Mommy and Daddy, off I go....

A Few of my Favorite Things...

I love play time.  I love going outside and playing in my backyard.  I enjoy when my brother gives me rides in his jeep.  I can't wait until I'm big enough to drive him around.  I loved it when Mommy and Daddy built a fort for me and my brother.  I enjoy playing with my toys.  Mommy thinks I play well with my toys because I know how to turn toys on, I know how to drop the ball down the chute to make it come out the other end, I know how to put blocks in the jar, and I know how to throw a ball.  I love climbing and exploring. I am a very active boy and I keep my Mommy and Daddy on their toes.  Dr Mike says I'm a very tactile learning because I put everything in my mouth and I like to explore my environment by doing rather than observing.  Turn me loose and off I go.
