My First Easter

Happy Easter! This was my very first Easter and I was still too young to enjoy all the festivities, but I was able to meet some family members that I've never met before. The Easter Bunny brought me a mold kit so I could make a cast of my hand and feet. My big brother did the same cast when he was 7 weeks old and it is a great keepsake. We went to Grandma Lu's for lunch with our family. It was a lot of fun. My nina Alison came over and brought me a easter basket filled with goodies. After lunch, we went to Mom & Pop's and celebrated Easter with Grandpa John and the rest of our family. Grandpa John gave me an easter basket with new clothes. We did an Easter Egg Hunt and my brother got a lot of treats. I can't wait until next year, when I am able to participate. It was a great day with great weather and great company.

I'm Here!

I've finally made my way into this world. I was born on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2:15pm. I weighed 7lbs, 15oz, and was 20 inches long. I have dark brown hair, light skin, and blue/gray eyes. Mommy hopes my eye color stays blue/gray. Mommy says I am perfect. Dr Mike says I am very healthy. Daddy says I'm handsome and Palmer says I cry a lot. Everyone already has their opinion of me. Everyone is taking good care of me. I'm 1 week old today and so far, I've gained weight (not quite back to birth weight) but I'm making great progress. I'm eating all the time and sleeping a lot so I can grow big and strong. My big brother loves me too as he likes to hold me and he doesn't mind sharing mommy and daddy's bed with me. I wake him up in the middle of the night when I cry, so he comes to mommy and daddy's room and joins our party. I had a lot of visitors in the hospital, so I got to meet most of my family and my Nina Alison. Grandpa John helped Mommy take care of me each night in the hospital and Grandma Lu is helping Mommy and Daddy take care of me at home this week. She's a lot of fun and she cooks good food for us. I had my first car ride on the way home from the hospital on Tuesday, March 13th and my first sponge bath last night. Overall, I am enjoying my new world and I feel very loved.

What's in a name...

Mommy and Daddy have decided on my name - Parker Lukas Heritage.

The story of Parker: When my brother Palmer was born and Mommy and Daddy were in the hospital, one of the nurses wrote down my brother's name as Parker on the dry erase board in Mommy's room. Mommy quickly corrected her and she apologized and told them that there was another baby down the hall who's name was Parker and she got the two names confused. Later the nurse returned and told Mommy and Daddy that she told the other family about the mistake she had made with the Palmer/Parker name. That family liked the name Palmer so much, that they decided to change their baby's name from Parker to Palmer. Well, Mommy and Daddy always rememebered that story and they were honored that someone else chose their same name. They liked the name Parker as well and never quite got it out of their head, so they decided to name me Parker.

The story of Lukas: Now, Lukas is constructed from a family name...sort of. I'm named after my two grandmothers - (Lu) for Lucille and (Ka) for Katy. They added the (s) to make it a masculine name. I'm honored to have a family name, just like by big brother Palmer (who is name after our two grandfathers.

That's how my name came to be...

A date has been set...

I am scheduled to arrive on March 9th at 1:30pm. I can't wait to meet everyone soon.

It's a Bright, Big, Beautiful World. Dream. Discover. Explore.

My room is all set up now and I can't wait to see it. Mommy designed the room with a travel theme. Mommy and Daddy love to travel and they hope to instill the "love for travel" gene in me too. I know I'll create many wonderful memories in my room and hopefully I'll get to create many wonderful memories travelling as well.

I'll be out soon...

I'll be out soon. Mommy, Daddy, and Palmer are anxiously awaiting my arrival. I'm still cooking in Mommy's tummy, but I'll be out very soon. I can't wait to meet everyone.
