A Rough Start to a New Year

Happy New Year.  We have had a rough start to 2014 because our family was sick for the first 8 weeks of it.  We have had a bad flu season and although we all got our flu shots last fall, my brother and I got one virus after another.  Mommy and Daddy took good care of us and even they got sick.  It was inevitable since they had to play doctor to us.  After 21 days on a strong antibiotic, I finally kicked it and now I just mild, residual symptoms.  Even though we've been sick, I've been playing with my brother and enjoying our winter.  We've had some warm weather which allows us to go outside to play and get fresh air.  We've had some colder, wet weather which brings us much needed moisture and water.  I'm ready for spring to be here and I'm ready to celebrate my 2nd birthday soon.  I hope I'll be 100% better by then.

Merry Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!  This year has been a wonderful holiday season as my brother and I have been looking at all the Christmas lights in our neighborhood, we visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their workshop, we would sing carols as they play in our car, and we have watched many holiday movies.  Buddy the Elf stayed with us for 2 weeks as he was watching over us to make sure we behaved ourselves.  Every night he would go home to the north pole to report back to Santa if we were naughty or nice.  We skyped with Santa a few times and in the end, I ended up on the nice list.  Christmas Eve was spent with Grandpa John and Suzanne during the day, Grandma Lu, Joce, Auntie, Uncle Jon, and Uncle Robert in the afternoon, and with all our family at Mom & Pop's at night.  I had so much fun playing with my cousins.  Christmas morning, Santa brought my brother and I a train table and train set.  We were so excited.  We spent all day with Grandma Katy and Grandpa Al and our entire family at their house.  It was a fun filled day.  All together I got so many presents: a train set, a motorcycle big wheel, money, pj's, books, puzzles, an airplane toy, art supplies, a monster truck, a monkey, and lots of yummy treats.  It was a wonderful holiday season and I can't wait until next Christmas is here.

Holiday Traditions

Every year since I have been born, we visit various neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights.  This year we stayed closer to home and got to explore all the decorated houses within our city and neighboring city of Mission Viejo.  We went several times this year and we would take hot chocolate and cookies on our lights tour.  It was so beautiful.  We also visited Santa and Mrs. Claus at his workshop.  As soon as Mommy handed me over to Santa I started screaming.  Maybe next year I won't be so afraid of the big guy?  It was still a fun night exploring Santa's workshop.

Happy 4th Birthday Palmer

Happy Birthday to my big brother Palmer.  I want to do everything that you do.  You may think I bug you at times, but it is just that I want to be with you and be just like you.  You are my best friend and I love you very much!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...

We went to the Irvine Zoo today.  Although it is a small zoo, they have a good selection of animals.  We got to touch a snake, pet some sheep, and see many animals such as coyotes, owls, deer, a bear, a zebra, and even a mountain lion.  Mommy is afraid of mountain lions.  I was screaming with excitement when I saw all the different animals.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  This fall season we went to Irvine Regional Park on rode their train.  I love the train and Grandpa takes me and Palmer to ride often.  This particular visit was with Mommy, Daddy, Palmer, Grandma Lu, Joce, Auntie Janelle, and Uncle Robert.   We got to play in their pumpkin patch and haunted house.  I went inside the haunted house and I was not afraid at all.  I had a fun day with our family.  On Halloween night, I stayed home and helped my brother give out candy to all our trick or treaters.  I was sick, so Mommy made me stay home.  At least I still go to dress up.  I hope I get to trick or treat next year.

Aloha!

We spent our vacation in Hawaii this year.  It was also my first airplane ride and I really enjoyed it.  It was 7 days of fun and frolic on the big island in Kona.  Our entire family was there because Auntie Janelle and Uncle Robert got married.  Our vacation house had a pool, an amazing ocean view, a big yard for us to run around, and lots of space inside where I played with my cars.  We went on morning walks, drove the island, went to the beach, and took a daily dip in our pool.  The pools was freezing cold, but it did not stop me from getting in and practicing my swimming.  I had so much fun playing with my brother and my cousin Joce.  Since Uncle Robert and Auntie Janelle went to Maui for their honeymoon, Joce stayed in our house.  I especially enjoyed having my mommy and daddy all to myself all day long. I loved our Hawaiian vacation and I can't wait to go on vacation again.
